Bigg Boss 17: From major tiffs with husband Vicky Jain to being applauded for playing the game with her ‘dil’; a look at Pavitra Rishta actor Ankita Lokhande’s journey

Tonight is the night when Bigg Boss 17 will have it’s winner. Ankita Lokhande, who entered the show with a lot of enthusiasm with her husband Vicky Jain, has seen several ups and downs in the house. From playing the game with her ‘dil’ to fighting for the right to taking a stand for herself, Ankita is one of the top 5 contestants fighting for the Bigg Boss 17 title. Let’s take a look at her journey so far:

Ankita Lokhande became one of the finalists with husband Vicky Jain getting evicted in the 6th position. Ankita cried inconsolably as her husband left the show. In her journey video, Bigg Boss applauded Ankita for playing the game throughout with her heart and called her ‘rishton wali ladki’.

During the family week, Vicky and Ankita's mothers entered the house. Vicky's mother had called out Ankita in the therapy room where she confronted her for kicking Vicky. She revealed, "Jis din tumne laat mari thi, papa ne turant tumhari mummy to phone kiya tha. Unhone pucha Tum apne pati ko aise hi laat marti thi." (When you had kicked Vicky, papa had called your mother asking did she also kicked her husband like that?) Ankita replied, "Mummy ko phone karne ki kya zaroorat thi. Mere papa ki death hui hai mumma, aap mere mummy papa ko mat bolo please." Vicky’s mother also stated that they were not quite ready for Vicky and Ankita’s marriage.

Over the season Ankita and Vicky made headlines almost every other day for their huge fights. From Vicky making the ‘investment’ comment about wife Ankita to the Pavitra Rishta actress seen losing her calm and kicking hubby Vicky, the two were seen fighting quite a lot. In the last few weeks, Anita was even seen talking about ‘taking a break,’ ‘calling things off’ and more. Ankita was heard saying, “mujhe nahi rakhna kuch aab tere sath, show ke baad main ek decision lene wali hun.”

Ankita found a brother in Munawar Faruqui and she stood up for him at several stages. Ankita would fondly call Munawar ‘Munna’. Vicky quite didn’t like Ankita’s friendship with Munawar. But in one task, Ankita chose Munawar over Vicky and called him ‘faltu’. Ankita maintained her friendship with Munawar throughout, though in the later part of the game, Ankita broke her friendship with Munawar.

Ankita has had several fights with several contestants. At one point, Ankita and Mannara wouldn’t see eye to eye. Ankita and Mannara had openly expressed their hate and dislike for each other. Same with Ankita’s equation with Aishwarya and Neil. She had some major fights with this telly couple as Aishwarya would constantly keep mimicking Ankita.

Ankita and Isha Malviya’s friendship has been a loving one. Isha initially had a perception of Ankita from outside the house but later on they became very good friends. Ankita shared, “I never connect bond with people over their status. I have dil se connection with you. I can never fight with you. You are like a younger sister to me.”

Ankita constantly talked about ex-bf and late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The actress gave an insight about their relationship, how they broke up and more. She also mentioned that she was a very possessive girlfriend and that created many fights between the two of them. She also revealed how she met Vicky through Sushant, the real reason and more.

With Ankita and Vicky’s constant fights, it was mentioned that Ankita did the show because Vicky wanted to do. Host Salman Khan too said that he didn’t like how Vicky has been treating wife Ankita lowly in the house. He reminded Vicky saying that Ankita didn’t needed to make a public spectacle of her marriage here and she is doing the show because of him.

Through several ups and downs, turmoils in her marriage, Ankita has been constantly lauded by Bigg Boss for playing the game with her heart ‘dil’. She stood true to her feelings, spoke her emotions out and played strongly. Towards the end, she tried hard to fix things between her, apologising to her husband, making him sure how she feels for him and the love that they share is genuine.
