The controversial reality show Bigg Boss, hosted by Bollywood superstar
Salman Khan, premiered on August 24 with a dynamic lineup of contestants, including social media star Awez Darbar. During the launch episode, Awez opened up about his difficult past, which led him to stay away from relationships.
Now, in the latest episode, Awez shared a light on his troubled past and how it impacted his childhood. He recently opened up about the pain of his parents' separation and revealed that he was also cheated on by his ex-girlfriend.
While chatting with Mridul, he was asked about his relationship with
Nagma and how long they had been together. Awez responded, "Hum log 8-9 saal se saath mein the, but kabhi date nahi kiye the (We’ve been together for 8–9 years, but we never actually dated)."
Revealing the reason behind staying friends with Nagma and never dating, he shared, "Mere bachpan mein joh problems rahi hai uske wajah se mujhe kabhi date karne ka woh nahi hua, mereko darr lagta tha (Because of the problems I faced in my childhood, I never got into dating. I was always scared)."
Abhishek Bajaj, who has known both Nagma and Awez quizzed him about his past and his relationship with Nagma. Before sharing further, Awez spoke about how his parents' separation deeply affected him.
He said, "Mere mom dad ke separation ke baad na, woh log alag ho gaye uske baad, mere andar bachpan mein joh jhagde dekha tha. Most of the time kya hota hai maalum, galti teri bhi nahi hoti, teri bhi nahi hoti but kisiko sunna hi nahi hai mein kya bolna chah raha hoon. Usiki wajah se lafde hote hain aadhe se zyada." (After my mom and dad separated, the fights I had witnessed in my childhood stayed with me. Most of the time, you know, it’s not really one person’s fault or the other’s, but nobody is ready to listen to what I want to say. And because of that, more than half of the problems turn into bigger conflicts.)
He added, "Main na iss cheez ke khauf mein baith gaya tha ki yaar mere sath bhi aisa hua toh koi sunega nahi phir mereko he sunna padega."
He further shared that there was a point in his life when he liked somebody and was in a relationship. He put in all his efforts to make the relationship work. However, he later later learnt that his ex-girlfriend was cheating on him and was involved with his close friends.
Awez revealed, "Mereko koi ladki pasand aa gayi thi. Maine socha try karte hain. Main apna 100% dunga toh shayad sab thik rahega. Par bhai woh madam ji ne mere aaju baaju jitne dost the sabke sath mei...Tabse mera mind aisa ho gaya ki I think nahi karna hai. Mujhe rehna hi nahi kisi ke sath." (I started liking a girl and thought, let me give it a try. I decided to give my 100%, hoping everything would work out. But, brother, that madam ended up being with almost all the friends I had around me...Since then, my mindset has completely changed. I feel I don’t want to be in a relationship anymore, I don’t want to be with anyone.)
Awez revealed that after being friends with Nagma for 8-9 years, he has finally given love another chance.
