Bigg Boss 19: Farah Khan slams Nehal Chudasama for accusing Amaal Mallik of ‘bad touch’; “You’re taking feminism 100 years back”
Reality show Bigg Boss 19 has been offering fans maximum entertainment every day with its dramatic episodes. This Weekend Ka Vaar, Farah Khan stepped into Salman Khan’s shoes in his absence and grilled the contestants over their behaviour in the house. The latest promo revealed how Farah Khan bashed Nehal Chudasama for making serious accusations against Amaal Mallik.
In a recent episode, Nehal accused Amaal Mallik of touching her inappropriately during a task. While she later clarified that she didn’t question his intentions, Nehal expressed her disappointment over being “physically harmed” by him.
In the promo, Farah said, “Where Nehal was supposed to speak, she was standing silent, and where she wasn’t supposed to, she was talking. What she’s doing is taking feminism back 100 years.” Soon after the clip dropped, fans reacted strongly, with many praising Farah for her straightforward approach.
Following the backlash, Nehal’s team released an official statement to clear the air. It read, “When Amaal came forward to apologise, Nehal’s words were always, ‘It’s not about you.’ She wanted him to know that her reaction was not a reflection on him as a person, but on painful echoes of past trauma she is still learning to heal from. It was a weak moment — a human moment — but also a reminder that trauma remains, even when one works hard to overcome it. We believe true strength lies not in perfection, but in vulnerability — not in silence, but in speaking up when something hurts. Many judge based on a single moment, without knowing the weight she carries daily. We ask them to pause, to reflect, and to consider that behind the outburst was a woman trying her best to stay strong, even when her inner self hurt more than any physical moment.”
The statement further clarified, “We wish to address the recent misunderstanding in the Bigg Boss task, to clarify what truly happened and hopefully, offer context to those who may not yet understand. During the task, there was a moment when things got a little physical between Nehal and Amaal. We want to stress that there was no intention from Nehal to blame or accuse anyone. What followed was triggered by her past trauma, something she cannot always control. In that fraction of a second, old wounds resurfaced, leading to her reaction. Nehal has always been, and will continue to be, a woman of courage. She has spoken openly before about surviving assault, about standing up for herself and for what is right. Her journey is not defined by the moments she is triggered, but by the countless times she chooses to reach for her own light. We hope people will see beyond the trolls, and instead see a woman who is trying each day to heal — a human being who deserves respect and compassion, just like anyone else.”
