Bigg Boss 19: Mridul Tiwari becomes the new captain of the house; Gaurav Khanna finally takes over cooking duty
The latest episode of Bigg Boss 19 saw the selection of a new captain. Bigg Boss asked all the housemates to gather in the assembly room and write two who they wish to vote for the captaincy.
Mridul Tiwari and Pranit More received the maximum votes, with Mridul was ultimately elected as the new captain for the week. He sought blessings from Kunickaa Sadanand and Gaurav Khanna, while Gaurav later discussed the captaincy task with Pranit, Ashnoor Kaur, and Abhishek Bajaj, questioning their voting choices. In a candid moment, Gaurav told Ashnoor that while the other group interacts with her, they secretly dislike her.
Later, during the duty distribution, Abhishek put Gaurav in a difficult position by publicly asking him to take up the cooking duty. Since it was Mridul’s captaincy, Gaurav agreed to do it but warned Abhishek that from next time onwards, he should never put him in such a situation again, or else he too would start doing the same with him. Gaurav took the cooking duty with Neelam Giri. Pranit More, who is close friends with both Abhishek and Gaurav, confronted Abhishek for putting Gaurav Khanna in the spot in front of all the housemates. Abhishek tried to defend his action, but Pranit did not look convinced. He later went and hugged Gaurav Khanna. He said, "Mujhe aaj Gaurav bhai ke liye bura laga, pehle main Gaurav bhai ko sirf dost maanta tha par ab main bhai maanta hoon."
Speaking after the task, Mridul expressed his gratitude and disbelief, saying he could hardly believe he had become the captain. “I’ll try my level best to live up to this responsibility and be fair throughout my captaincy,” he shared, promising to lead with honesty and balance.
Mridul Tiwari. Mridul’s journey inside the house has seen its fair share of highs and lows. From being called out on Weekend Ka Vaar for his inconsistent strategy to now winning the captaincy title, his transformation has caught everyone’s attention.
