Bigg Boss 19: Sandiip Sikcand criticises Amaal Mallik as his prank on housemates backfires; ‘This is not captaincy’
Bigg Boss 19 has been gaining attention ever since the show began with its dramatic fights, changing dynamics, and fun tasks. The show, which has now entered its 3rd week, is only witnessing even more drama with each passing week. The latest episode took things to another level with a prank that didn’t sit well with many viewers.
The episode began with housemates noticing unusual things happening in the kitchen. Food was being cooked without salt, leaving everyone annoyed and suspicious. Soon after, contestants realised that this was not just about missing salt, since other items had disappeared as well. Among them were Baseer’s designer dress, Awez’s belts, and even some clothes from other housemates. Housemates started panicking and tried to figure out what was happening.
Some contestants even suspected it could be a task by Bigg Boss. During all this, Amaal Mallik and Shehbaz were seen admitting to each other that they were the ones behind hiding half of the items. Meanwhile, the rest of the housemates continued searching and pleading with Bigg Boss, saying they were only “creating content” to make things entertaining.
However, one by one, the missing items started returning. The first to get his things back was Abhishek, whose bag was found. But the real turning point came when Neelam revealed that Shehbaz had told her where the missing salt and sugar were hidden, exposing part of the prank to everyone in the house.
Many viewers were upset with Amaal for taking part in the prank. On social media, fans called it unfair and unnecessary. Producer Sandiip Sikcand also reacted strongly and criticised Amaal.
He said, “This is not captaincy. If you can rule the house, you must have the courage to admit that you were a part of a stupid prank. Be a man, Mr. Dictator!”
He also called the prank “ridiculous and the most stupid thing to do.” Sandiip added, “Thinking such acts will be fun is beyond silly, these duplicates I tell you.”
The episode has left fans divided. While some still enjoyed the drama, many felt the prank crossed a line.
