Bigg Boss OTT's Ridhima Pandit breaks down as she remembers her late mom: I would go out when she slept, couldn't sleep at my home

In the ongoing live streaming of the reality show, Bigg Boss OTT, contestant Ridhima Pandit cried inconsolably as she remembered her mother, who passed away in April 2021. The actress revealed the sufferings and pain their family and her mother underwent. While speaking to Neha Bhasin and Shamita Shetty, Ridhima said that her mother would sleep without a fan because her skin had become like paper, and there was a caretaker to look after her. The Bahu Humari Rajni Kant actress stated that she never slept peacefully at her home because she always feared about her mother's health. Ridhima said that she slept better at her friend's place or at a hotel, if she went for an event.(Photo: Instagram)

"Night time was the only time when I would get freedom to party with friends as my mother slept and took rest at that time," said Ridhima. Neha Bhasin, who was listening to her and consoling her, shared that she also lost her father to cancer. He passed away 40 days after being diagnosed with third stage cancer, and Neha revealed that all of her siblings got their dad's name tattooed.(Photo: Instagram)

Another revelation that Ridhima made was that she was offered Bigg Boss last year too but she couldn't take up because of her mom's ill-health. The actress heaved a sigh of relief for not taking up the previous season but the show got extended till February 2020 and in April 2020, her mother suddenly passed away after suffering for 5 years.(Photo: Instagram)

Shamita Shetty, who was also around, asked if it was due to COVID-19 that her mom passed away. To which, Ridhima said that she went into dialysis and because of isolation her veins got blocked and she died. Due to the situation, they weren't getting beds and it became worse for them. She added that she couldn't be selfish and her mind would be puzzled thinking about how much her mother suffered. Ridhima Pandit continued to say that when she and her sister saw their mother's corpse, her sister cried but she stopped crying thinking that she couldn't be selfish and want her mom to stay despite all the sufferings. She added, "I can't forget the vision when they took her away" and broke down. Neha Bhasin hugged and consoled her by saying that losing a parent is very difficult.(Photo: Instagram)

Ridhima further shared that she was scared to get her mom's pictures in the house because she knew that the people here are "ruthless" and she wouldn't be able to see anyone tearing those photos. She showed those photos to Neha.(Photo: Instagram)
