Mohit, who likes his tea with a lot of masala, says “Chai is an integral part of our lives. Aditi (Mohit’s wife) and I have our chai dates whenever the weather is nice. Chai ke saath mera ek personal relationship hai. Whenever I am reading a book or a script, I need to have my chai. That keeps me going. On a subconscious level, it activates my thought process. When I was a kid, we used to look forward to having chai in the evenings. I have a joint family in Delhi and all of us – me and my cousins – used to have chai together. My mother used to toast bread in ghee and we would have that, and chai with rusk. I have been a chai drinker since I was a child. It’s an emotion for me because when I take a sip, it takes me back to my childhood.”

Ask him who makes the best tea in his family and the Kulfi Kumar Bajewala actor replies, “Aditi makes lovely tea. Whenever we are having a chai date, Aditi makes the chai. She makes the best chai.” The actor shares that chai also keeps him going during long shoot hours. “Whenever I feel a little down or lazy shooting for long hours, chai just does the work,” he says.
