Hastinapur Ke Veer a new mythological drama narrates the story of the childhood of the Pandavas and Kauravas. Set against the regal backdrop of Hastinapur, the show brings to life the untold stories, relationships and defining moments that shaped these legendary warriors. Veteran actor Chetanya Adib will play the pivotal role of Kripacharya , one of the most respected gurus of the era, adding more depth to this narrative.
Chetanya Adib is a powerhouse of a performer, with a commanding and intense presence in theatre and Indian television, and has always performed with nuance and restraint. In Hastinapur Ke Veer, he plays the character of Kripacharya, who is known for his discipline, clarity and strong sense of duty. He was the royal guru . Talking about his role, Chetanya Adib says, “As soon as I started reading about Kripacharya, I got attracted to the way he is so composed and confident. Kripacharya was an ideal teacher who remained steadfast in his commitment to duty and righteousness in all the turmoil around him. When I’m playing him, I think about discipline, about the idea of duty beyond the self. He moves with a clear purpose, never acting on impulse, but rather with thought and structure. As an actor that required me to slow down and really understand his mindset and exploring that restraint and discipline has been a really enriching experience for me.”
With Hastinapur Ke Veer, audiences can expect a fresh and emotional take on the Mahabharat, where the narrative goes beyond the battles to explore the relationships, values and choices that shaped these legendary characters.
