Chhoriyan Chali Gaon’s contestant Samriddhi Mehra of Chinki-Minki get emotional reveals 'I had no idea I even had a twin, I met her only at the age of 5'
Chhoriyan Chali Gaon continues to peel back layers of its celebrity contestants, offering glimpses into their real lives beyond the glitz and glamour. Hosted by Rannvijay Singha, the show brings together popular names like Anita Hassanandani, Aishwarya Khare, Anjuum Faakih, Krishna Shroff, Dolly Javed, Erica Packard, Rameet Sandhu, Reha Sukheja, Sumukhi Suresh, and the popular twin duo, Samriddhi and Surabhi Mehra (Chinki-Minki). As these city-bred divas take on rural life in Bamuliya, they are also discovering new sides of themselves and each other in the process.
In one such heartfelt moment, Samriddhi got emotional while revealing a deeply personal chapter from her early childhood for the very first time. She shared that she didn’t even know she had a twin sister, called Surabhi, for the first 2-3 years of her life. Growing up in an orthodox family, the twins were kept apart, and it was only after their mother fought back against the family’s restrictions that Samriddhi met her sister for the first time at the age of 5. Since then, the bond between the two has remained unshakable.
Samriddhi said, “Our family was so orthodox that they sent my sister away just because we were 2 girls. I had no idea I even had a twin. My sister never got to experience a mother’s love during those early years. But our mom stood up for us; she fought with the entire family to bring us together. I met my sister for the first time when I was 5. When she came home, I didn’t even know I had a sister who looked exactly like me. Since that day, our bond has been unbreakable. Our mom is everything for us.”
Moments like these on Chhoriyan Chali Gaon remind us that every celebrity’s journey is a mix of both pain and resilience, and such unfiltered moments are what make the show resonate so deeply with its audience.
