TV couple Kunal Verma and Puja Banerjee shocked fans, after they recently opened up about facing a financial scam in which they lost their entire savings. They shared a Vlog on their YouTube channel and were in tears as they revealed about facing the financial fraud to someone they trusted. Kunal, who is currently shooting for CID, took to his Instagram stories to share a video expressing gratitude to fans and well-wishers for their heartfelt messages, love, and support during this challenging time.
Kunal shared a video in which he expressed his heartfelt thanks to all the supporters and well-wishers for their encouraging messages and thoughtful words. He even mentioned that he is not losing hope and staying strong. He said, "Hi guys. Thank you so much, means a lot. Your DMs, your messages, and of course, your support. You guys know our story. I am staying strong, I'm shooting for something. I'm shooting for CID. And just managing things. Just here to tell you thank you, to each one of you. That's all. Thank you."

Puja Banerjee breaks silence on the money extortion controversy; says, “Going through the toughest time of our lives…” Puja and Kunal recently uploaded a vlog to their YouTube channel, where they revealed that they had fallen victim to a scam and suffered a major financial loss. The couple shared, “We are talking about this today because during Eid, I had posted a video on my Instagram handle after which we have been receiving a lot of calls to know what has happened. So we want to share it with you all. These past 2–3 months have been extremely difficult for us, and we have no idea what will happen next. We have been a victim of a fraudulent financial scam and we lost a huge amount.”
Talking about the scam, Puja revealed, "We have to start from zero and we won't give up. We don't want to give up. We lost all our savings in this fraud. All we want is that you all support and pray for us. We believe in god." Kunal added, "We are part of an Industry where our livelihood is connected to you all. If our work isn't watched by you all, then there is no worth of it. You are all our family and you need to know that we got cheated by someone."
