Confirmed! Shakti Anand has been finalised to play Sharddha Arya's husband in Kundali Bhagya

The 20-year leap in Kundali Bhagya is bringing in a lot of changes in its cast. There was buzz about Amar Upadhyay joining the show, but now it's confirmed that Shakti Anand will enter the show. He will play Karan Luthra, a character originally essayed by Dheeraj Dhoopar. After Dheeraj quit, Shakti Arora stepped in to play the lead opposite Shraddha Arya. However, now after the 20-year leap, he did not want to play a father to grown-up kids and chose to move on. Shakti Anand has just been finalised to play Shraddha’s husband in the show.

When we reached out to Shakti, he said, “I am proud to enter a show that has lasted for six years given that in recent times, we see shows wrapping up in just a few months. I will essay the role of Karan Luthra and it will be a completely new story with grown-up children in the show. I am sure that the makers will bring in a lot of twists for viewers in the coming months.”

In real life, Shakti is father to an 11-year-old daughter, but in the show, his son will be a 24-year-old. Does that bother him? “I am not essaying this old father, who is just sitting and telling children to finish their food (laughs!). I will have many shades to portray, so I have no qualms playing a father,” he replied. Shakti was last seen in the TV show Channa Mereya.

Kundali Bhagya has been running for six years on TV and the show has connected well with viewers.
