Actor

Sandeep Kumaar

, who is currently playing an antagonist Vivan Joshi, in TV show 'Tera Mera Saath Rahe', has wrapped up his shoot and is all excited about his Diwali celebrations. Meanwhile, he is keeping himself busy with

DIY

preparations.
He adds, "One of the most visually beautiful celebrations in the world is Diwali. The festival of

lights

is an actual feast for the senses. It’s also a wonderful time to gather with loved ones to share delicious meals, exchange gifts, have fun, and make lasting memories. So this is arguably the most important part of our festive decor. While real candles and

diyas

create beautiful warmth, there’s always so much fun with using LED votives and tealights. We decorate with colourful paper lanterns and strands of twinkling lights, both indoors and outdoors, to enhance the overall ambiance. So, I'm nose deep into DIY preparations!"
Sandeep, who has earlier featured in shows like 'Bahu Begum' and 'Manmohini' adds that Diwali is all about food, fashion and gifts for him. "Since it is a festival, I don't mind cheating on my diet. Traditional Indian desserts such as burfi, jalebi, ladoo, halwa, and

kaju katli

are my favourites during Diwali. Dried fruit is another favourite. I also don't shy away from flaunting Indian outfits. I have already got some smart designer wear and I'm really excited about the Diwali night. That apart, Diwali is a festival to celebrate humanity and kindness. We ensure exchanging gifts with our friends and relatives but we also distribute necessity items, sweet box, crackers and diyas with the less fortunate around the highways. It's a perfect way to make our festival meaningful."
