Eisha Singh: To get something, you have to lose something
As Eisha Singh is currently seen in the supernatural universe with Naagin 7, she is clear that her character Ananta is unlike anything she has portrayed before. “I think it’s very different from all the characters I’ve played,” says Eisha. “It’s fun to play the role. She’s a diva in her own way. She knows she has this certain attitude. She knows she looks good, there’s a certain charm about her, and men love it. She throws it around like confetti.”
But Ananta isn’t just glamour. “At the same time, she loves her sister to death,” Eisha emphasises. “She truly loves her.”
With curiosity buzzing around whether Ananta is the Naagin, Eisha remains tight-lipped. “To know who Ananta really is, you’ll have to watch the show,” she says. “There’s so much layering and depth. Who is the real Ananta? Am I a Naagin? Am I not? That I can’t talk about—but you’ll find out.”
Reflecting on starting young and missing a ‘normal’ college life, Eisha is candid. “I always wanted to be an actor. I got the right opportunity at the right time and grabbed it. To get something, you have to lose something—and that’s okay.”
Looking ahead, her focus is firmly on meaningful, challenging work. “No matter the medium, I want projects that excite and challenge me,” she shares, hinting at an upcoming dream project she can’t yet discuss.
Off camera, Eisha enjoys life’s simpler pleasures—time with pets and family, shopping and even cooking after night shifts. From moving to Mumbai as a teenager to building a decade-long career, she reflects with gratitude: “It was insane at first, but destiny had other plans. Now, I love this city. I love every bit of my life.”
