Exclusive - Abhishek Malik bids an emotional farewell to Jamai No. 1; says 'This journey shaped me as an actor and a person'
For an actor it is difficult to share what kind of impact a show will have on them once it is over. Abhishek Malik too finds it difficult to word his feelings as his show Jamai No. 1, which is produced by Prateek Sharma and Parth Shah, comes to an end. The actor is shooting for the last episode on August 26 and stated that the experience has shaped him, surprised him, and made him grow both as an actor and as a person.
He said, "Every day on set felt like stepping into a family. The bonds I formed here weren’t temporary co-star friendships; they were connections that made long hours feel lighter and challenging scenes feel exciting. The set became a second home. Looking back, I realize how rare it is to find such warmth and support in this industry.
He is all praise for the producers (Prateek Sharma and Parth Shah) of the show and thanked them for their unwavering support throughout. "None of this would have been possible without the vision and trust of our producers. They didn’t just create a show; they created a space where every actor could give their best. For trusting me with a role in Jamai No. 1, for believing in me, and for nurturing this journey with so much care—I am deeply thankful," he said.
"This opportunity will always hold a special place in my heart," he added. On the last day of shoot, Abhishek is filled with a bittersweet feeling. He said, "There’s pride in what we created together, there’s happiness in the love the audience gave us, and there’s also a quiet ache knowing this chapter is closing. But that’s what storytelling is all about; even though it ends on screen, it continues to live in the hearts of those who were part of it."
"To everyone who watched, supported, and embraced Jamai No. 1—thank you. Your love has been our strength. To my team, my co-actors, and everyone behind the camera, thank you for making this journey unforgettable. And to the producers, I’ll always carry this experience as one of the most meaningful milestones of my career," he concluded.
