Exclusive - Abhishek Sharrma reacts to Vasudha claiming No. 1 spot, calls it a big moment: 'It's a very important milestone'
Abhishek Sharrma, who is currently seen as Devansh in daily soap Vasudha is in a celebratory mode as his show has claimed the no. 1 spot on the TRP chart. His performance in the show is impactful and consistent and it has played an important role in the show climbing to the No.1 spot this week. For him, this is indeed a huge achievement.
Speaking about what this No. 1 position means to him personally, the actor shared that it marks an important milestone in his journey so far. He said, “The number one position is definitely a very important milestone in my career journey. As an actor, you always hope your work reaches people; more and more people watch your work. When a show consistently performs at the top, it gives you a different level of confidence and visibility in the industry. It tells you that the audience is emotionally investing in your character and the world you are creating.”
Abhishek also addressed whether topping the TRP charts brings added pressure. According to him, expectations do increase, but he chooses to look at it in a positive way. “At the same time, yes, expectations come, but I take it as an opportunity. I take it as a challenge to keep it consistent and to maintain that thing, and to go above and beyond from here,” he explained.
Rather than feeling burdened, the actor said the success has only pushed him further. “It actually makes me hungrier, makes me want to do more, and achieve more. It is actually kind of a boost for me that whatever I'm doing is somewhere correct. I really think that I can do more, and I can achieve more. It pushes me to work harder, stay more disciplined and keep improving as an actor,” he added.
He also pointed out that today’s audience connects with honesty on screen, which is something he tries to maintain in every scene. “I believe the audience today is very smart. They connect with honesty in performances. So my focus remains the same – to stay truthful to Devansh as a character and keep giving my best in every scene,” Abhishek said.
Before ending, the actor made sure to give credit to the entire team behind the show. From technical departments to the cast, he acknowledged everyone’s contribution. “The whole team from lighting, the setting team, makeup, costume, direction, creative and the production — everyone has done their job beautifully. The credit goes to all of us, every cast member. Without anyone, this show would not have reached where it has reached,” he concluded.
With Vasudha continuing its strong run, Abhishek Sharrma seems more focused than ever, treating success not as a destination, but as a reason to keep pushing forward.
