Exclusive - After quitting Laxmi Niwas Kajal Pisal holidays in Japan says, "It was more than a trip"
Kajal Pisal, who played the character of Nalini Gajendra Chauhan, has quit the show, Laxmi Niwas and was holidaying in Japan.
Talking about her decision to quit the show she said, "Playing Nalini will always remain special. The experience of working was really sweet, and everyone on sets became friends in no time. I have known the makers from the past and it is always a pleasant experience collaborating with them. It’s not the first time—I have worked with them on multiple projects earlier. I decided to quit Laxmi Niwas as my role wasn’t growing. I understand the creative side, as TV tracks are based on TRPs, so I have no complaints. With mutual understanding, we decided to move on. Best wishes to the complete team.”
The actress also shared her experience of holidaying in Japan.
"After quitting I was off to Japan and enjoyed an amazing trip. From the electric glow of Osaka’s Dotonbori streets to the timeless beauty of Osaka Castle and the peaceful charm of shrines tucked across the city—Japan felt like stepping into another world."
She continued, "The local trains and metros seemed overwhelming at first—so perfectly connected, yet so intricate—but somewhere between missed stops and map checks, we found our rhythm and began moving like locals."
"Kyoto was pure magic, with the endless vermilion gates of Fushimi Inari-taisha, serene shrines, and the unforgettable spiritual calm of Otagi Nenbutsu-ji, where 1,200 unique Buddha statues quietly told their own stories. Nearby, Nara brought us face-to-face with its famous deer park, adding a little whimsy to the adventure," she added.
Talking ahead about exploring Japan. She mentioned, "We indulged in Japan’s soul through authentic sushi, comforting ramen, and flavors so unforgettable they became part of the journey itself—though, like every traveler, we eventually found ourselves seeking the warmth of Indian food."
"Then came the iconic bullet train ride to Tokyo—swift, seamless, and unforgettable. The rain made Shibuya Crossing more cinematic in Tokyo. From the luxury of Ginza to the deeply authentic sumo experience, we discovered not just spectacle, but discipline, sacrifice, and the extraordinary world of sumo wrestlers. Japan was more than a trip—it was tradition and modernity, chaos and serenity, discovery and comfort, all woven into one unforgettable journey," she concluded.
Kajal is known for featuring in shows like Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, Jhanak, Durga – Mata Ki Chhaya, Sirf Tum, or Sasural Simar Ka 2 among others.
