Udariyaan actor Ankit Gupta, known for winning hearts with his powerful performances, takes a moment this World Environment Day to reflect on the importance of individual action in protecting our planet.
"World Environment Day is a crucial annual reminder of our collective responsibility to protect and preserve this beautiful planet we call home. With 2025’s theme, ‘Beat Plastic Pollution,’ it’s a strong call for each of us to rethink our consumption habits and move toward more sustainable alternatives," says Ankit.
He emphasizes that while large-scale efforts and government initiatives are essential, change also begins at home. “We all have a role to play. Small, conscious steps — like reducing single-use plastics, conserving energy and water, joining local cleanup drives, or planting trees — truly make a difference,” he shares.
For this year’s Environment Day, Ankit is choosing to stay grounded — quite literally. “I plan to spend time in my building’s garden, tending to the plants. It’s such a soothing, calming experience. Being in nature reminds me of how vital it is to protect what gives us life.
It’s my way of contributing to a greener future, right here in Mumbai.”
In a world increasingly overwhelmed by pollution and climate challenges, voices like Ankit’s inspire many to take action — not just for a day, but every day. After delivering an impeccable performance in the television show Maati Se Bandhi Dor, the actor's fans are now waiting for his next big project announcement.
