Exclusive - Anupamaa actor Shivam Khajuria on Mother's Day; says 'My Mom is one of the strongest women I know'
On the occasion of Mother's Day, Anupamaa actor Shivam Khajuria takes a heartfelt moment to express his deep gratitude and affection for his mother, Sadhana Sharma. With warmth in his words, Shivam shares, “For this Mother’s Day, I’d like to wish my mom good health and endless happiness. I want to say a heartfelt thank you to her for bringing me into this world and being the incredible person she is.”
Even though his busy acting schedule keeps him miles away from home, Shivam makes it a point to celebrate the moments he gets to spend with his mother. “To celebrate this day, I’d give her what I believe matters most—my time. Since I live far away from her for work, I truly cherish the few precious days we get to spend together,” he says.
If he had the chance to be with her this Mother’s Day, Shivam has a simple yet thoughtful plan. “I’d take her out shopping and buy her something she loves—lipsticks and salwar suits are her absolute favorites. After that, I’d take her out for a little coffee date over a croissant and coffee—there’s something really special about sharing simple moments like that with the people you love,” he adds.
Shivam also opens up about the one life lesson that has stayed with him, a reflection of his mother’s strength. “One life lesson from her that has stayed with me is to stand strong in the face of obstacles. She is truly one of the strongest women I know, and I can only hope that I’ve inherited even a fraction of that strength and resilience from her.”
When asked about a favorite dish that brings back memories of home, he fondly mentions, “My favorite dish that my mom makes is her paneer bhurji. She’s not someone who cooks a lot, but she whips up the most delicious paneer bhurji in minutes—it’s been my comfort food growing up and still brings me a sense of warmth and home.”
This Mother’s Day, Shivam Khajuria’s tribute to his mother is a beautiful reminder that sometimes, the greatest gift we can give is our time, love, and appreciation.
