Exclusive: Anupamaa's Nishi Saxena reacts to fans' most asked question about her bond with co-star Sagar Parekh, says 'We aren't dating, he is my best friend'

Anupamaa's Dimpy aka Nishi Saxena recently had an exclusive chat with ETimes TV where she shared her journey with Anupamaa, her friendship with Sagar Parekh and more. The actress has answered fans' most asked question about Sagar and her bond and she finally made a revelation that they aren't seeing each other. Here's what Nishi had to say:

It's a dream come true to be a part of Anupamaa

The whole Anupamaa journey has been great, it's a dream come true. It is incredibly great. I still wonder, I hadn't even imagined that I would do a show like Anupamaa. I used to watch this show when I was in Delhi. It was my family's routine that every day at 10 pm we used to sit together and watch, not even in my wildest dreams had I thought that I would be a part of Anupamaa.

My father was shocked to know I was doing Anupamaa

When it was going to be telecast, I called my father and shared that I bagged Anupamaa and had already shot for the first episode. As somewhere you know, we are scared whether things will go well or not. My father was quite shocked to know I was doing Anupamaa, he couldn't believe it.

Sagar is my best friend, we aren't dating

No, we are very good friends, I would call Sagar my best friend. I can cry in front of him, laugh in front of him, I can share anything with him. We are not dating, to everyone who wants to know. Our friendship grew stronger with Anupamaa, as we were friends even before the show started.


He is my guy friend with whom I can share everything

When I went for the mockshoot, I knew Sagar was playing Samar. I didn't tell him that I was coming for the shoot, he was surprised to see me and he motivated me that I should do the character of Dimpy. From there, our bond has grown so well that I have a guy friend in my life with whom I can share anything and everything and he would be there for me.
