Ekta Tiwari, who plays the role of Flower in popular show Gudiyarani, believes in living life with a focus on true happiness rather than just the idea of it. “Happiness and contentment are different. While contentment is a state of fulfillment, happiness is a natural flow that doesn’t need to be forced,” she shares.
For Ekta, happiness stems from authenticity and simplicity. “Being myself makes me happy. Spending time with like-minded people, nature, animals, kids, books, writing—it all depends on my mood. I’ve trained my brain to switch off from negativity and simply cut myself off from situations or surroundings that don’t serve my peace.”
The actress admits she doesn’t let gloom take over her life. “I don’t have time to be unhappy. I rest, travel, listen to music, binge-watch shows, or enjoy gardening and cooking. These activities allow me to reset and recharge.”
Ekta credits her spiritual journey for her balanced outlook. She practices detachment from temporary things, focusing on accepting life as it comes. “Everything and everyone is situational. I’ve learned to expect less and accept more. This spiritual connection keeps me grounded and undisturbed.”
Looking ahead, Ekta plans to deepen her spiritual and physical practices in 2025. “I aim to learn whatever gives me peace and happiness, whether it’s a new skill or a fresh perspective. Being my own secret Santa is the mantra I follow—it’s about giving myself the love and care I need.”
Her approach to happiness is rooted in the present. “No idea is the ultimate idea. Life keeps bringing new challenges, and they can bring sadness at times. But for me, the key is to go with the flow and stay in the moment. Only when you expect from yourself do you achieve real peace and happiness.”
As Flower in Gudiyarani, Ekta brings warmth and positivity to the screen, much like her personal philosophy. Her journey is a reminder that happiness is a choice and a practice—a way of being true to oneself.
