Exclusive: Jagriti actor Aarya Babbar on shooting funny videos with his father Raj Babbar; says ‘I have to force him’
Aarya Babbar is all set to make his comeback after an eight-year hiatus with the upcoming show Jagriti. In an exclusive interview with ETimes TV, Aarya opened up about how thrilled his father, veteran actor Raj Babbar, is with his look in the show. Aarya, who has gained weight for the role, shared how much he’s enjoying this transformation.
Aarya also revealed a lighter side of his relationship with his father, especially when it comes to shooting fun social media reels together. Despite Raj Babbar’s busy schedule, Aarya often coaxes him into joining in on the fun. “You really need to force them, especially my dad. Dad had posted a reel. He was doing a show with another channel and he posted a reel with another actress.” Aarya laughed. He recalled how he once jokingly told his father, “Aapko toh uss heroine se zyada pyar hai, mujhse toh hai nahi. Uske saath reel banayi hai, mere saath nahi banayi hai. Aisa emotional karna padta hai. (You love that actress more than me, you made a reel with her but not with me).” Aarya added that his father eventually gave in, making the experience enjoyable and memorable. He shared, “He was like, ‘thik hai, bana’. So this is how I need to catch him but it is fun.”
Aarya also shared that his father was eagerly looking forward to seeing him in the challenging role of Kalikant Thakur in the show. "Dad is really excited," Aarya revealed. "He really likes my look and the direction it's going."
Aarya’s comeback with Jagriti has created excitement among his fans, and his candid anecdotes about working with his father show a charming blend of fun and family bonding. The father-son duo’s on-screen chemistry will likely extend to their playful off-screen moments as well.
