Exclusive- Kanwar Dhillon on the last-minute hiccup with Mera Balam Thanedaar and choosing Udne Ki Aasha, says 'For two months, I didn't sign any other show'
Kanwar Dhillon has been a heartthrob with his acting chops. The actor has returned to the TV screens with yet another grand show and the fans have been in awe of him ever since he dropped the promos. However, little did you all know, before Udne Ki Aasha, Kanwar was set to play the lead in another show. While talking to ETimes TV, Kanwar exclusively shared how he bagged the new show and what happened with his previously locked projects after Pandya Store.
Kanwar opened up about being locked for Mera Balam Thanedaar before Shagun Pandey bagged the show, "6-7 months or 8 months is the basic time that any actor takes to transition into another project unless he or she wants to repeat themselves very quickly. If you see my body of work and the time that I take between two projects. I take this gap because I can't do the same thing back to back. In fact, I had Balam Thanedaar in my kitty even before I shot for my last episode for Pandya Store. The day I stopped shooting for Pandya Store, I had transforming for Balam Thanedaar but unfortunately, it didn't work out, but meri puri 2 mahine ki prep gayi thi."
He further added, "For two months, I didn't sign any other show. Things changed at the last minute, they made me wait and things happened there. I think it is all for the good, I wouldn't get the show Udne Ki Aasha in my kitty then which was meant for me. So it is all for the good and I am happy to be back."
Kanwar shared how Udne Ki Aasha happened, "For this role as well, I hardly got any 10-15 days to prepare. I was doing some other show, (Won't take name) and this show came by and I chose to be a part of Udne Ki Aasha as it took my interest more. So in those 10-15 days I gave all my efforts, grew my hair, and transformed myself physically. It takes a lot of effort and dedication."
The dapper Sachin concluded, "So like the show mentioned earlier, you prepare for it, fit in the look that you wanted to achieve for the character and last-minute things don't work out, so it is a very heartbreaking thing for any actor, something like that happens, but eventually, it helped me in bagging other projects. So I believe that your hard work will never be in vain."
