Mohammad Nazim, best known for his memorable portrayal of Ahem in Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, has now joined Rahul Kumar Tewary’s popular show Udne Ki Aasha. The actor, who recently made his entry in the show, is thrilled about his unique role and the warm response he’s received from both the audience and the team.
Talking about what drew him to the project, Nazim shared, “It’s special because the makers wanted a well-known television face for this track. I play a TV star in the show — basically, I’m playing myself. It’s something very fresh and different, because rarely do we see a TV actor portraying a TV star within a TV show.”
Nazim’s track revolves around a grand wedding sequence, where his sister’s marriage becomes the backdrop for drama, humour, and celebration. He adds,
“My character gives the wedding décor orders to Sailee and Mandira ji, who run a floral and decoration business. That’s how the story unfolds. It’s a grand setup — after all, it’s a celebrity’s sister’s wedding!”
On his experience working with Rahul Kumar Tewary’s team, the actor shared his admiration, “The production house is extremely humble and professional. The entire team is amazing and very cooperative. I haven’t met Rahul Tewary yet, but I’m looking forward to it. The feedback from the channel and direction team has been wonderful.”
Speaking about his co-stars, Nazim was all praise for them. “Sailee (Neha Harsora) is spontaneous and humble, Mandira ji (Guddi Maruti) is a senior artist I’ve admired for years, and the whole team works like a well-oiled unit. I’ve learned a lot from them,” he said.
Nazim, who has also been busy with films lately, concluded with gratitude. “People still call me Ahem bhai on set — that love from fans is priceless. I’m thankful to Rashmi ma’am, Pawan sir and the channel, and the audience for always supporting me. This role is special because it’s new, real, and relatable.”
