Exclusive: Namik Paul returns to television with a new show as lead

With the arrival of the New Year, TV channels are rapidly introducing new shows. Sandiip Sikcand is launching two new shows after Mehndi Hai Rachne Waali and Bohot Pyaar Karte Hai, one of which stars Amandeep Sidhu, Sai Ketan Rao, and Srishti Singh, and the other show is expected to launch soon.

Earlier, the source revealed that they had locked Reyaansh Vir Chaddha for the lead. However, the source shared, "We chose to go ahead with Namik Paul. Makers and the channel believed he was a perfect fit for the character. But the lead actress is still in search as we chose to go for more options."

Namik was last seen in Kasauti Zindagi Kay 2 in a cameo, it has been a while since Kawach Namik hasn't been on-screen for a full-fledged role. The actor has charmed his fans with shows like Ek Duje Ke Vaaste, Ek Deewana Tha, Qubool Hai and so on. Fans have been dearly waiting for the actor to return to the screens and now finally he is.

Namik was earlier shortlisted for Meri Saas Bhoot Hai as well but later, he chose to opt out of the show and Vibhav Roy bagged the lead. The new show is most likely to go on floors alongside Shrenu Parikh and Bhaweeka Chaudhary's Maitree. Further details about the new show's plot and cast are still under wraps.

Talking about Sandiip Sikcand's Sai Ketan Rao starrer show, the serial is all set to go on floors by February and the team has already started shooting. The show's first promo is expected to go on air by mid-January. Talking about its storyline, a source revealed that the show will have a Punjabi backdrop.
