Reality queen Nikki Tamboli, who has been a part of successful shows like Bigg Boss 14, Bigg Boss Marathi, Khatron Ke Khiladi, Celebrity Mastechef, is all set to prove her mettle through 'The 50'. Nikki is entering the show with her boyfriend Arbaz Patel. Before entering the show, the actress spoke exclusively to Times of India TV, about how the entire last year has been tough for her due to health reasons. From recovering from dengue to undergoing surgery to remove a cyst in her eye, the actress faced health challenges. She shared in the interview that though this is going to be a risky decision for her, she is ready to take it. (Photo: Instagram)

To be honest, I had initially said no to the offer because I wanted to be part of something that also had a strong message. When the show approached us, it was just two weeks after Arbaaz came out of Rise and Fall. Arbaaz and I were contacted together because they felt we were both strong individuals and wanted to see us come together on one platform. I refused at first because I didn’t understand the concept. When I heard the number 50, I felt overwhelmed and thought, I’ve already dealt with rivalries among 25 people, how would I manage 50? So I clearly said I wasn’t interested, and Arbaaz went ahead for the meeting alone. (Photo: Instagram)

Later, the team messaged me and suggested I at least attend the meeting, assuring me that I would like the concept. Since it was Endemol, I couldn’t say no, as I owe a lot to the production house for giving me so much in my career. So I agreed to attend. During the meeting, I genuinely liked the concept. What really excited me was when they explained that the prize money would go to the fans, the winner’s amount of Rs 50 lakh would be given to them. That instantly convinced me. Doing something for the fans felt special, and that’s when I happily said yes. (Photo: Instagram)

This is definitely very risky for me because I’ve just recovered from dengue and my body is still weak. It’s a big challenge, but giving up has never been in my nature. That’s why I didn’t step back from this show either. Whether someone is a fan or not, what truly matters is the effort you put in, and everyone will give their best on the show. (Photo: Instagram)

Health-wise, this is definitely a big challenge for me, especially this year. The 50 is a task-based show that demands focus, alertness, and physical effort, which makes it even tougher. At the same time, I feel that a woman’s acting career has a limited window, so when a good opportunity comes your way, you shouldn’t let it go. I didn’t want to miss this reality show because if I hadn’t taken the chance, I would have felt like I gave up on myself. I believe I am capable, I can stand on my own feet, and challenges will always come in life. Health is important, but success or failure can only be known after you try. If you don’t even make the effort, then I feel life loses its meaning. I’m not so unwell that I need complete bed rest. I can walk, see, think, and understand. That’s why I truly believe the decision I’ve made is the right one. (Photo: Instagram)

If there are 100 people falling for Arbaaz, there are millions after me too. We are not insecure, but yes, there is a bit of jealousy—and that’s because we love each other. There is no insecurity because our relationship is strong and secure. A little jealousy is normal and even necessary; without it, the other person may feel insecure. Love naturally comes with some possessiveness. I don’t think girls will not even come close to him, just by hearing my name, and that’s a good thing. I trust Arbaaz completely, and I’m sure neither of us will look elsewhere. (Photo: Instagram)

There will be situations where some girls may try to create a romantic angle, and they might make an effort. But I will make sure nothing like that is shown. Here, not just my image but my boyfriend’s image will also involved. For us, our reputation matters a lot because it takes years to build it, and just a second to ruin it. (Photo: Instagram)
