Exclusive - Pankit Thakker slams Shilpa Shinde over comments on Shubhangi Atre: Talk about competition when you can run the show till 2035

Shilpa Shinde, who is returning as Angoori Bhabhi in Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain 2.0, recently sparked controversy with her remarks criticizing Shubhangi Atre, who portrayed the character during her 10-year absence. Her comments have not gone down well with many, including actor Pankit Thakker, who has strongly reacted to and slammed her over the statements. In a recent interview, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai actor Shilpa Shinde spoke about Shubhangi Atre’s portrayal of Angoori Bhabhi, and her comments appeared to take a dig at the actor’s comic timing. Now, actor Pankit Thakker, a good friend of Atre has reacted to the matter.

He said, "Competition is for people who are still trying to find their way. In this industry, anyone can have a 'hit' for a moment, but very few can become a 'Legend' for 10 years. I don’t compare legends with opinions. When you have the capacity to run this show for a decade from now on, then we can talk about competition over a 'cup of tea' in 2035."




He also added, "Who knows the real reason behind the change in the show. Maybe the Producers wanted Shubhangi, but she didn't want to continue giving her 10 years.. even though she might want to explore life beyond playing the same role. And this might be the reason or unsaid side of the story.. though I'm not sure it's my personal calculation."

"I have known Shubhangi for many years and she has this habit of being kind to everyone.. she never enjoys degrading anyone.. she's beautiful in and out," he concluded.

Pankit is currently seen playing an important role in TV show Saru. After nearly a decade, Shilpa has returned as Angoori Bhabhi on the sitcom Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain. Shubhangi Atre had earlier stepped into the role after Shilpa’s exit in 2016.
