Pracheen Chauhan
, who became a household name as Subroto Basu in the original edition of Kasautii Zindagii Kay, is all set to make a comeback to the fiction genre after a gap of almost seven years. Last seen in an episode of Laal Ishq, his full-fledged outing was in the fantasy show, The Adventures of Hatim, which wrapped up in 2014.
While the actor refused to divulge details about his character and track in Shaadi Mubarak, we have learnt that he has been paired opposite
Rati Pandey. A source informs us, “Initially, Pracheen will not like Rati on the show. They will be constantly at loggerheads. However, he will eventually grow fond of her. Their love story will shape up depending on the storyline.”
Pracheen says, “Yes, I am a part of the show, and I have started shooting. However, I don’t think I am at liberty to divulge much about my character.”
Pracheen, who has featured in several TV shows, including, Kutumb, Saat Phere: Saloni Ka Safar,
Maat Pitah Ke Charnon Mein Swarg
and Havan, says that the break from TV wasn’t a conscious decision. The wait got extended because of the lack of characters he wanted to explore on the medium. “I wasn’t too excited about the kind of roles that were coming my way. It was a difficult period, as things weren't going in my favour. It’s not that I had consciously decided to take a break from TV, it just happened on its own. In the meantime, I was occupied with a show that airs on a digital platform. I am glad that everything has fallen into place and I am back with a wonderful show.”
