Pratiksha Honmukhe who is currently playing the character of Priyanka in Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye got candid about her controversial exit from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. In an exclusive conversation with Times Of India TV, Pratiksha shared how she felt her career was at stake, took time to take up another show and more.

It was difficult for me, there were many things that I was overthinking about. I had just started, I left my job, I used to fly for 7 years and I took a risk to venture into acting. But then all this happened, so it was really difficult as the career was at stake. Gladly, by God's grace, I bagged another show. Jab aap acche hote ho toh aapke saath accha hi hota hai.

I feel that till now, I have to learn people around. I always feel that everyone is good but that's not the case. I have to start observing and learning people around me. I had only heard that people aren't good in the Industry, but slowly I learnt that what I was told was right and I need to navigate through them rather than being naive and believing that everyone around me are good.

I was offered shows after everything that happened in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Mentally I wasn't in that frame and ready to do any show. But when Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye was offered I took the decision to work and I am very happy to be a part of the team.

I have seen people go into depression after such things happen. Whatever happened with me with the past show wasn't a small thing. It impacted my career and I was in headlines for all reasons and assumptions. My family supported me and told me that if I was not wrong then I shouldn't fear them. Within 2 months I had Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye and I did it.

It is very important to continue what you are doing. One bad episode cannot stop me from growing in my career. I am grateful that in the beginning of my career I came to know what kind of people are. As I was always very naive but this who controversy turned out into a learning that I should be cautious about what can happen.

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai was my first mockshoot and I wasn't aware of how to face camera and everything. It was last September when I got a call for the show and I was aware that the show was famous. I asked the casting person to make me understand how the mockshoot happens and I was very nervous. I went there and it went very well for me. I gave one shot and next day I got a call that I was selected.
