Actor Savi Thakur has come forward with a serious allegation against producers Santosh and Rochelle Singh, claiming he was not paid his full dues for playing the main lead in the show Laal Banarasi.
Back in july, 2024 Savi called out the producers and a year later today, the actor is still struggling to withdraw his money. He said, "It’s been over a year and I’m still chasing my hard-earned money that I rightfully deserve.”
Despite giving his all to the show, Savi alleges that not only was a significant portion of his payment withheld, but the producers also failed to deposit TDS for even a single month during his entire working period. “They claim to have cleared everyone's payments — a blatant lie,” he adds. “Either they’ve ignored the 70% who are too powerless or scared to speak up, or they've bullied some into settling for less.”
Calling it the “first-ever worst experience” of his career, Savi expresses frustration and disappointment. “I gave them my time, my energy, my performance and this is what I got in return. Silence. Lies. Exploitation.”
He urges others in the industry to speak out against such unethical practices. “Enough is enough. We are not disposable. We are professionals, and we deserve respect — and our money."
Savi is currently seen in TV show, Rishto Se Bandhi Gauri playing the lead role of Rudra. He is also known for featuring in Maddam Sir, Guddan - Tumse Na Ho Paayega, Sethji, Porus among others.
