Exclusive - Shefali Jariwala's demise: Vahbiz Dorabjee remembers her former neighbour very fondly; says 'She was full of life—always cheerful, always smiling'

Shefali Jariwala's untimely demise has left her friends and family in a state of deep shock. They are still struggling to come to terms with the loss of the beloved actress. The Bigg Boss 13 fame actress passed away at the age of 42 on June 27. She was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Mumbai on Friday, but doctors reportedly declared her dead upon arrival. Vahbiz Dorabjee, who shared a warm bond with Shefali Jariwala over the years, expressed her deep shock and sorrow over Shefali’s sudden demise.

Speaking emotionally, Vahbiz said, “Shefali and I used to be neighbours, and not once did I ever see her upset or in a bad mood. She was full of life—always cheerful, always smiling."

In a touching coincidence, both Vahbiz and Shefali had pets named Simba. Vahbiz has a cat with that name, while Shefali had a dog she deeply loved called Simba. After Shefali’s sudden passing, this small connection between them now feels even more special and emotional to her.

Vahbiz also spoke about Shefali and Parag's bond, she added, "Parag and Shefali were truly in love, a very real and genuine bond. Knowing that he now has to live without her is heartbreaking. This year has been overwhelming, constantly hitting us with one shocking news after another. Cardiac arrest has taken so many lives, and though the cause remains unknown, I just hope this year brings no more grief. We've seen enough sadness already.”

Parag and Vahbiz had also worked together on a project that, unfortunately, never saw the light of day. Vahbiz calls Parag a genuinely kind and humble person, adding to the sadness she feels over the heartbreaking his life has taken.

Shefali Jariwala's last rites were performed in Mumbai last evening. She was laid to rest at the same crematorium where Bigg Boss 13 co-contestant Sidharth Shukla’s final rites had also taken place. Many of Shefali Jariwala’s industry friends and colleagues gathered to bid her a heartfelt final goodbye. Among those who came to pay their last respects were her Bigg Boss 13 co-contestants, including Mahira Sharma, Shehnaaz Gill, Paras Chhabra, and Arti Singh. The atmosphere was heavy with grief as they mourned the loss of their dear friend.
