Actor Siddhant Issar, who recently tied the knot with his Shaitani Rasmein co-star Surbhi Shukla, celebrated a very special milestone — his first birthday as a married man. In an exclusive chat with Times of India, Siddhant opened up about how the couple marked the occasion with a meaningful resolution and some quality family time.
“This was my 30th birthday as a married man, and it felt very different and special,” Siddhant shared. “As a single man, birthdays carried a different energy. This time, it was all about family, spirituality, and health.”
Siddhant and Surbhi kicked off the day by visiting a temple. “We believe nazar lagti hai after shaadi. That’s one reason we didn’t announce the wedding beforehand. The news came out only after the reception and honeymoon,” he explained.
The couple also made a personal commitment to wellness. “Surbhi and I took a birthday resolution and joined the gym. The last month has been about wedding celebrations and honeymoon indulgences, and now I have a shoot coming up. We decided to be fit and healthy for each other,” he added.
The birthday celebrations were intimate yet joyful. “We brought in the day with our parents, went out for lunch, and later had an extended celebration with close friends. A little dedication to good health, a spiritual beginning, and meaningful moments with loved ones — that’s how I wanted to step into this new phase.”
Siddhant, son of veteran actor Puneet Issar, married Surbhi on April 21 in a traditional Radha Krishna temple wedding in Ujjain. “We took our vows in front of Agni and Bhagwan, just like in the olden days,” he had previously told Bombay Times. Their Mumbai reception on May 2 saw many industry names, and the couple is planning a honeymoon in Greece following a mini honeymoon to Goa.
