Exclusive! Srishty Rode: Shooting for my Bollywood debut movie wasted my entire 2019 and I still don't know when it is releasing

Actress Srishty Rode is currently at home recuperating from surgery that she underwent a month ago. She tells us that she was facing some stomach issues which required surgery. "Thankfully it wasn't cancerous. It's been a month since the surgery and the doctor has adviced me to rest at home. I got to know about the infection (inside the stomach) a bit late and that's why I recommend people to get their medical check-ups done regularly," she said in an interview with us.

At the moment, Srishty is recovering at home but even before her surgery, the actress wasn't doing any show on TV. She was last seen doing reality shows

and Kitchen Champion 5. Opening up on the same, she told us, "After Bigg Boss 12, I signed a Bollywood movie

. I shot for the film but it hasn't seen the light of the day yet. It wasted my entire 2019 and the movie's release is just getting delayed again and again. To be honest, now I am not even excited about its release now because it's been around 3 years and I still don't know when the film will be released. Then when I thought to look for work, the coronavirus pandemic hit us and everything got postponed or cancelled. Also, I used to often take a break after every project which I shouldn't have done. I have always behaved stupidly in that sense. It's better to keep going and avoid taking deliberate breaks, at least on TV. But all said and done, I am now open to work. I am meeting few people and hopefully, I should be able to announce something soon."

So what kind of shows she would now like to get involved with? "I would like to do a show with a new and fresh concept. I understand the show's narrative often changes to amp up the TRPs but the basic premise of the show should be interesting. Also, I don't believe in doing a lead character or a supporting role. I have done both in my career. All I look forward to is how much the character is involved in the story. Anyway, the lines between lead and supporting have diminished, thanks to OTT content.," she said. Having been a part of Bigg Boss, Srishty desires to be a part of
