Exclusive: Sushant Singh on returning with Savdhaan India: Criminal Decoded, says "There are times we become numb, we are unable to fathom the brevity of a human mind"

Savdhaan India is back with yet another fresh season. The show has added a new feature 'Criminal Decoded' this time. While exclusively sharing the theme, the serious cases and more with ETimes TV Sushant Singh said, "There are times we become numb..." Here's what he had to share:

Talking about the excitement of returning to the show, "It is very happy and exciting as I have been there since the beginning of the show. It has given me a lot of popularity and a lot of love. So yes, good to be back and looking forward to it."



The transition between being an actor and a host, "That is what I came to be, as an actor I have always been there. The journey has been the other way round for me. I was an actor and then I became an anchor and it still continues to be."

Sushant takes his cases very seriously when it comes to disseminating the information to viewers, "I take it very seriously, because of the popularity of the show. The way people love me, they take my word very seriously and I make sure that whatever I say is factually correct and denoted in a very sensitive way. I take it as a personal responsibility while shooting for the show."

Here's what is new with this season, "With the new season, we are trying to live up to your expectations, we are trying to recapture your love. I am coming back after a break as a host, of course, we have upgraded the look of the show as well as mine. Our concern and love for you are still the same. Since it is a show about awareness and fighting against crime we are adding a new angle to it which is 'Criminal decoded', we are trying to give a glimpse of a criminal's mind, and maybe that will also make the viewers more aware."



On sharing his experience of understanding human psychology with these criminal cases, "For lack of a better word, I would call it interesting. Any mind which is not ordinary could be on the positive or negative side. It is always intriguing to understand through a psychological perspective and get a peek into it to understand what made them make such decisions. In a similar kind of situation, people react differently and make distinctive decisions. So it is quite interesting to decode a rather dangerous side of the human mind."

Sushant further shared how many cases leave him numb when he is supposed to narrate them to the viewers, "So many of them, it is very difficult to figure out one particular case. Still, there are times we become numb as we are unable to fathom the brevity of a human mind."
