Raksha Bandhan is a festival that celebrates the sacred bond of a brother and sister. It is one of the most auspicious festivals in India that is celebrated with a lot of excitement and fervor. While traditionally a sister ties the Rakhi thread on the wrist of her brother, we have seen several siblings tying each other Rakhi and celebrating this festival over the past few years. In fact, Kumkum Bhagya's Reyhnaa Pandit also ties Rakhi to her sisters. On the other hand, Kumkum Bhagya's Tina Philip celebrates it with her brother. They have special plans for this year too and on this special occasion, the actors have opened up about their special memories and bond with their siblings like never before.
Tina Philip, who plays the role of Rhea in Kumkum Bhagya, mentioned, “My brother holds a very special place in my life, and he truly is my pillar of strength. Though he is younger, he is very protective of me and ensures that I am safe and happy at all times. Every year, on Rakshabandhan, I ensure that we spend some time together and he always surprises me with something unexpected and special. Though we won't be able to meet this year as he is in the UK, I do plan to send him some special gifts and some vibrant rakhis. I really miss him and I hope we are able to meet each other soon. Here's wishing everyone a very Happy Rakshabandhan.”
Reyhnaa Pandit, who plays the role of Aaliya in Kumkum Bhagya, revealed, “Rakhi holds a very special place in my heart, but for a really different reason. Since my childhood, I have heard people talk about the festival being celebrated by a brother and her sister, however, my sister and I don’t believe in this myth. We celebrated this festival together with the same zeal, where we used to tie each other Rakhi. Both of us are each other's support system, so it makes sense to celebrate it with her, rather than anyone else. Every year, on Rakshabandhan, I make sure that we should spend some quality time, and this year as well, I will surely meet her and create a few more memories. On the occasion of Rakhi, I would like to wish everyone a very Happy Rakshabandhan.”
