Exclusive! TV show Rajjo to go off air in 6 months, lead actress Celesti Bairagey says, 'We should have been given some more time'

TV show Rajjo is wrapping up on March 4. The show has completed six months; it launched in August 2022. The show revolved around a young girl Rajjo, an aspiring athlete from Uttarakhand, whose journey begins soon after she is saved by Arjun during the floods.

Lead actress Celesti Bairagey confirmed the news. She said, "It is disappointing for the entire team because we had worked very hard and were hoping that we could get some more time to settle in the new time slot. The show had moved from 7 pm time slot to 6.30 pm, a few weeks ago. The show that replaced ours has got the same ratings that we had. Anyway, at the end of the day it is the channel's call and we respect their decision."

She is happy with the response that they got from the audiences. She shared, "More than the saas-bahu track, people liked the love triangle between me, Rajveer Singh and Ayushi Bhave. I think that really worked."

Celesti, who came to Mumbai from Assam in June 2022, is happy that her debut role has been very challenging. Rajjo has been an entirely different experience for her, she says. "It was a completely new experience for me. I did everything in this show - stunts, fights, running and many challenging scenes. I enjoyed my journey a lot because the entire unit was very supportive given that I was new to the city. I had never thought that I would come to Mumbai to pursue a career in showbiz. I got this role because of a reel I posted on my social media account. Life took a different turn. I haven't thought of what I will do next, but I hope to continue as an actress," she shares.
