Exclusive! Yash Tonk on Swaran Ghar ending on November 11: This is my shortest stint on a TV show. It’s indeed disappointing

Yahs joined the show on October 25.
When Yash Tonk was introduced on Swaran Ghar on October 25, little did he know that the daily soap would wrap up in a few weeks’ time. The show is ending next month. Understandably, Yash is disappointed but is also accustomed to such overnight developments. He says, “That’s how television works. It’s quite sad. I didn’t know it might go off air. Around a week after I started shooting for the show, we have been told that it’s shutting down on November 11.”

He adds, “It’s disappointing for any actor because so many people bank on a show. I have been a part of the industry to understand that it is not unusual. Also, as an actor, I can’t do anything about it. It happens to great shows also. One has to be prepared for everything. All I can do is give my best till the last day of the shoot. I made the character (Baljit Singh Bedi aka Balli) spicy and it’s good to experiment.”

This is his shortest stint on a TV show. He says, “Yes, this is my shortest stint on a TV show. Because I didn’t know about it. I would be a part of it for three weeks. If I know that a show is ending soon, I would not like to be a part of it. If it was expected to get an extension had the ratings gone up, it would have been a different case altogether. But the channel has made its decision.”

Ask him if he will again take a break before he takes up another show and he replies, “I will wait for something nice to come my way. I want to be a part of a mature love story.”
