Flaunting her mehendi, glowing at chiksa function to dancing on dhol beats; a look at Gauahar Khan and Zaid Darbar's pre-wedding rituals

Bigg Boss 7 winner Gauahar Khan is all set to tie the knot with her boyfriend Zaid Darbar on December 25, at a plush hotel in Mumbai. The couple's pre-wedding rituals began three days ago. The first function the couple had was Chiksa, which is similar to the haldi ceremony, and the mehendi function was held on December 24. A day before the D-day, Gauahar Khan and Zaid Darbar, along with the family organised a party at a plush hotel in Mumbai. For this occasion, Zaid wore a brown-coloured jacket over his white kurta pyjama and paired it with kolhapuri chappals. Gauahar dazzled in a brown asymmetrical top with a heavy lehenga. Zaid's father Ismail Darbar and all their cousins made a splashing entry. Ssandip Singh also attended the bash. A live music was also arranged for the guests.

Gauahar Khan wore a pretty mustard-coloured salwar suit for her mehendi function. The dress was gifted to the actress by her brother four years ago, and she decided to wear it for her mehendi. Gauahar captioned the post as: "Mehendi ki raat aayi! Thanking my jaan, my brother @asaadzkhan for the lovely gift that I'm wearing which was given to me 4 years back! You couldn't make it to the wedding but the love surely did! It’s so special to wear the blessings you have sent me on my big day. ♥️ This is for you Asabhai and @sabreen.a.jan."

This was the first pre-wedding ritual that Gauahar Khan and Zaid Darbar celebrated. The actress looked mesmerisingly beautiful in a yellow blouse and multi-coloured lehenga with a maang teeka, earrings and dupatta. Zaid, on the other hand, looked dashing in yellow kurta with white salwar and jooti (shoes). Gauahar had captioned this post as: "When half of me met half of you and together the better halves shaped our beautiful moments. ❤#Alhamdulillah Day 1 of #GaZa celebrations - Chiksa."

Gauahar Khan and Zaid Darbar got a clay impression of them holding hands. The couple also carved their names and the wedding date on it. Sharing the picture, bride-to-be wrote, "Thank you my dearest @bhavnajasra immortalising our love forever ! This will always be most special and you will always be remembered very fondly by us. #Myfathands hahahah , @zaid_darbar hoping our kids get your beautiful hands , hahah !"

Gauahar Khan and Zaid Darbar's wedding invite is a quirky one, through which, they revealed their lockdown love story, and how Zaid sealed the deal for them. Gauahar shared the invite on Instagram and wrote: "Jab we Met ."

Gauahar Khan and Zaid Darbar met at a grocery store after which the latter slipped into her Instagram DM to tell her she is the most beautiful woman he has seen. Despite the lockdown, the two managed to sneak in alone time with their quarantine drives and in parking garages.
