The television industry joined the nation in mourning the loss of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who passed away on December 26, 2024, at the age of 92. The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi, where Singh was being treated for age-related medical conditions, confirmed his demise in an official statement.

“Dr. Manmohan Singh was under treatment for age-related medical conditions and suffered a sudden loss of consciousness at his residence. Despite the best efforts, he passed away earlier today,” the statement read.


Several television celebrities expressed their grief and paid homage to the iconic leader. Aly Goni shared a heartfelt tribute on his Instagram Stories, saying, “RIP.”Disha Parmar also posted a tribute, writing, “RIP to him.” Arti Singh joined in expressing her sorrow, posting, “RIP.”


Manmohan Singh, India’s 13th Prime Minister, served from 2004 to 2014 and is remembered for his pivotal role in the country’s economic liberalization. As the news of his passing spread, tributes poured in from all corners of the country, with political leaders, celebrities, and citizens reflecting on his legacy of humility, intelligence, and dedication.
