The actor was born in Jammu and did his schooling from Delhi Public School. He completed his graduation with a degree in marketing and moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in Modeling.

Asim's father, Riaz Ahmed Choudhary is a retired IAS officer in Jammu and Kashmir. His sister works at the Department of Education. His brother and Bigg Boss 15 fame Umar Riaz is a doctor by profession.

Asim is an avid bike lover and is extremely passionate about riding exquisite bikes. He owns a White Royal Enfield Classic 350. Apart from this, he has a grand collection of bikes in his hometown.

Before doing Bigg Boss, he has been a part of many television commercials. In one of the commercials, he was featured with Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. He was one of the background artists.

Asim was a part of Varun Dhawan's starrer 'Main Tera Hero'. He played a small role of a goon who was chasing Varun while he was trying to impress Ileana D'cruz.
