From Charu Asopa to Raqesh Bapat: Celebs who have been single after their failed marriage

Many famous TV actors were not so lucky in their marriage and had to end their relationship due to disagreements or ugly fights. The actors have remained single and have not been in a relationship for a while following their divorces or separation. A look at some of the actors who have prefered to stay single.

Charu Asopa had been quite vocal about her ugly split with Rajeev Sen and many a time the couple went on a break and were together only because of their daughter Ziana. Charu spoke about her failed marriage lately and also said that did try to make this marriage work. However, Rajeev recently stated on his vlog that he is still in contact with Charu and keeps sending her nice messages to make her believe that he is there for her. Many people wondered if everything was back to normal.

BT recently got in touch with Charu and asked her about it: “For the past week, he has been sending me messages like ‘good morning’, ‘have a good day’ and ‘good night’. I send him polite replies. Before that, we communicated regarding our legal proceedings. So, it seemed weird. I was surprised by the suddenness of the situation and had a feeling that something was brewing. Only now did I get to know why he was sending me those messages. It is basically to get something on me to talk about. He has realised that his normal vlogs don’t fetch him views. But the minute he talks about Ziana and me, the numbers shoot up. I don’t know what he is thinking or saying. You trouble someone and when she shares her problems, you accuse her of playing the victim card for sympathy.”

Charu further said “I don’t intend to waste a minute on this. I want to move on for my daughter and myself. Only if I move on will I be able to focus completely on her. We want to part ways amicably. We along with our lawyers are meeting on November 30. I hope he comes.”

Daljiet Kaur was married to Bigg Boss 16 contestant Shalin Bahnot in 2009. They even appeared on a number of reality shows. But after a few years of being together, Shalin wss accused of domestic violence by Dalljiet. They also have a son together. However, in 2015, she separated from him and filed for divorce. She has been staying with her son and handling everything on her own since then.

Lately, when Shalin was becoming close to Tina Datta, Dalljiet was questioned about it and told BT “No I am not your best friend Shalin. Meeting once in a month or two months for the sake of my child does not qualify as friendship. I wish you luck with your love life but leave me out of your fictions and stories, please. And u r calling it funny? really? Tina no hard feelings for you. I am in a good space now and I want to keep away from the Dalljiet - Shalin controversies and I don't want my 8-year-old son to watch such things on national television.”

Raqesh Bapat, of Bigg Boss OTT fame, was previously married to Ridhi Dogra in 2011. The couple divorced amicably after 7 years of marriage bliss. Now that they are both happily single, they keep in touch as friends. Even though Raqesh had found love yet again with Shamita Shetty after Bigg Boss OTT, they split shortly.

After a brief courtship, television actress Juhi Parmar married Sachin Shroff in 2009. She had even given up her job to pursue her marriage. They have a child together. However, after a few years of marriage, they began accusing each other of various things, and in 2016, they filed for divorce. Juhi is now a single mother who is making the best of her life. She and daughter Samaira are living with her parents.

Shweta Tiwari-Raja Chaudhary: The split between Shweta Tiwari and Raja Chaudhary surprised everyone, especially since the two appeared to be deeply in love at the start of their relationship. Raja's violent nature and alcoholism are said to be the reasons for their breakup. Many years later, Shweta married TV actor Abhinav Kohli, her co-star in the show Jaane Kya Baat Hui after the divorce was finalised. Now Shweta is quite happy to be single and has been living a happy life with her daughter Palak Tiwari and son Reyansh Kohli.

Sanjeeda Shaikh and Amir Ali, one of the cutest jodis in the television industry, married in 2012. Rashami Desai, a popular TV actress, was previously married to her Uttaran co-star Nandish Sandhu. The couple married in 2012, but after four years of marriage, they divorced in 2016. Rashami had previously told ETimes TV in an interview about her divorce and said that the marriage would have succeeded if Nandish had given his all.

She told us “If Nandish had given his 100 per cent to this relationship then nothing would have gone wrong. I have never had any problems with his female friends. I have never doubted him. I was busy with my travel and work. I did not know if he was dating someone or not. Even if he is, then he should enjoy it. I wish good for his future.”

While working on the serial Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani, Vahbiz Dorabjee and Vivian Dsena fell in love. After three years of dating, they married in 2013. They soon realized they were not good enough for one another, and in 2017, they filed for divorce and separated. Vahbiz has so far been single.

Jennifer Winget was married to Karan Singh Grover but the two parted ways in 2016.
Jennifer has stayed single ever since but Karan is now happily married to Bollywood actor Bipasha Basu and they recently welcomed a baby girl.
