The Uttaran actress, who is popularly known as Rashami Desai was originally named Shivani Desai. In an interview with Bombay Times recently, Arhaan Khan revealed that Rashami's real name is Shivani. For the unversed, she started her career from the Bhojpuri film industry and used Divya Desai as her onscreen name there. Before, she started working on her debut show, Pari Hoon Main, the production house BR Films had advised her to change her name as she changed it to Rashami Desai according to numerology. Rashami Desai got married to her on-screen love interest from Uttaran, Nandish Singh. The two dated for a while before tying the knot in 2012. A few photographs of Nandish along with another woman went viral around that time and since then the divorce between the two actors was taken into consideration. Rashami had then claimed that the reason behind their divorce was because Nandish had several 'female friends'. Nandish, on his part had said he was tired of Rashami's excessively sensitive behaviour. Talking about her divorce, the actress had earlier said: "If Nandish had given his 100 percent to this relationship then nothing would have gone wrong. I have never had any problems with his female friends. I have never doubted him. I was busy with my travel and work. I did not know he was dating someone or not. Even if he is, then he should enjoy. The Dil Se Dil Tak actor recently made headlines when her boyfriend, Arhaan Khan revealed on National television that she had gone bankrupt and he was the one who resurrected her career. Arhaan was slammed for his statement, but Rashami admitted of going bankrupt and supported him. Bigg Boss 13 contestants Rashami Desai and Sidharth Shukla played on-screen husband and wife in Dil Se Dil Tak and they had some huge fights on the sets. Rashami, in one of the episodes of BB 13 revealed that Sidharth Shukla tried to get her sacked from the show, but the makers stood by her. She even told former contestant Devoleena Bhattacharjee, Vishal Aditya Singh that Sidharth used to abuse her on the sets in front of other co-stars and unit. Sidharth and Rashami have been blaming each other since the day they entered the BB13 house. From accusing Sidharth of abusing her while she was his co-star in Dil Se Dil Tak, to trying to sabotage her career by asking the makers to throw Rashami out of the show, the actress has levied some serious accusations on Sidharth. Shukla has blamed Rashami for always playing the woman card and going and crying in front of others. Their recent fight got out of hand when Rashami threw tea on Sidharth and also hurled abuses at him in front of the host Salman Khan for the 'Aisi ladki' comment.

While everything looked hunky dory for Arhaan Khan and Rashami Desai, their love life hit a rock bottom when Arhaan's past got revealed in Bigg Boss 13. Host Salman Khan revealed to Rashami Desai that Arhaan is already married and is a father of a child. While Rashami knew about the marriage, she was totally unaware about his kid. She was taken aback with the news and cried inconsolably after knowing the truth. Later, she decided to give Arhaan another chance and said 'I Love You' to him on the National television. However, Arhaan's comment on Rashami going bankrupt hurt her deeply and she decided to take a break from Arhaan. Rashami has been often seen discussing about her family issues on the show. The actress recently shared with inmate Asim Riaz that she doesn't trust few of her family members and suspected them of trying to frame Arhaan.
