From Sajid Khan to Priyank Sharma: Times when Bigg Boss contestants were reprimanded for violating the rules of the house

The latest season of the show Bigg Boss 16 has been entertaining the audience with lots of drama inside the house. Even though this season is different, there have been some major violations of rules by contestants like Sajid Khan, Nimrit Kaur, Soundarya Sharma and many more despite several warnings by Bigg Boss. This isn’t the first time where we have seen rules being broken inside the house and there have been instances where the contestants were asked to leave the house immediately.

Let’s take a look at some of the contestants, who have violated the rules of the Bigg Boss house:

In one of the latest episodes of Bigg Boss 16, Sajid Khan, along with other contestants MC Stan and Ankit Gupta were seen smoking openly in the lawn area even after Bigg Boss warned them several times. Bigg Boss finally lashed out at Sajid saying, “Sajid how many times have you worked on television? Do I need to tell you about TV rules and Bigg Boss house rules? If I see you, Shalin, Ankit Gupta or anyone outside in front of the camera then it looks like I will have to permanently stop sending cigarettes inside the house.”

Later, Sajid apologized for his mistake and promised Bigg Boss that this won’t happen again.

In one of the most recent promos, Bigg Boss reprimanded Nimrit and Soundarya for speaking in English inside the BB house despite being actors from the Hindi film industry. They were instructed to apologise to the viewers until Bigg Boss orders them to stop. But Soundarya was seen once again talking to Gautam Vig in English near the washroom area before the courtroom trial of Gautam. As a result, Gautam was reprimanded by Bigg Boss and he was fired from the position of captaincy due to Soundarya breaking the rule of the house to not speak in English. Bigg Boss even rebuked Soundarya for murmuring to Gautam by removing her mic in front of the cameras, which was yet another major violation.

Despite Bigg Boss' repeated warnings, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia also continued to speak in English along with Soundarya Sharma. Nimrit was the first captain of the house and even after knowing the rules she could not follow it. Nimrit was also penalised for speaking in English and was instructed to apologise to the viewers until Bigg Boss orders them to stop.

Archana Gautam and Priyanka Chahar Chaudhary violated the house's rules by sleeping during the day. Captain Shiv Thakare warned them against the same. Other contestants objected to Archana and Priyanka's sleeping habits. Soon Priyanka and Archana took their vengeance by clanging plates during assigned sleeping times. To end the controversy, Bigg Boss summoned all of the participants to the living area and gave Shiv the power to reprimand Archana and Priyanka. Shiv directed Archana to the circular prison and confined Priyanka to a wooden box kept inside the garden area until the next Bigg Boss order. Later as a punishment, Bigg Boss made Archana the house captain until the next morning and said she will be under strict surveillance by Bigg Boss.

After being suspected of resorting to physical violence on co-contestant Aarya Babbar during a luxury budget task, Puneet aka Duryodhan of Mahabharat fame was eliminated. Puneet became agitated while carrying out the task and charged at Aarya, knocking him to the ground with his physical strength. Bigg Boss ordered the task to be halted midway. The news surprised all of the contestants, including Gautam, who burst into tears upon learning of Puneet's removal from the show.

Puneet, on the other hand, returned to the show the next day, albeit in jail. He was imprisoned until his behaviour was corrected, and he was appropriately punished for violating the house rules.

He was booted off Bigg Boss 7 for his violent behaviour towards Tanishaa Mukherjee and VJ Andy. The brawls between the TV heartthrob and VJ Andy, Tanishaa not only made him an instant hit, but also one of the most written about TV personalities on Twitter. But the cherry on top was when the young contestant claimed that the show's host Salman Khan, apologised to him.

Who can forget Imam Siddiqui's late-night drama within the Bigg Boss house, for which the fashion expert was evicted? Imam, a Bigg Boss season 6 contestant, was hell-bent on humiliating his other inmate, Aashka Goradia. He decided to dress up in a skin-coloured body suit and pretend to be a tiger. As if that wasn't enough, he began breaking any ceramic or earthenware he could get his fingers on. His eviction was the result of his aggressive behaviour. Moreover, after saying sorry to Bigg Boss, Imam was allowed to rejoin the show.

The television actor, who appeared in season 11, was involved in a fight in which he pushed fellow contestant Akash Dadlani. He was ordered to leave, but he later returned and managed to stay for quite some time.

Swami Om and Priyanka Jagga are well-known contestants from Season 10. Jagga was notorious for assaulting contestants and behaving badly with Salman Khan, prompting him to ask her to quit the show. Khan even threatened the channel, stating that if the channel ever decided to sign her for another show, he would leave Bigg Boss.
