From starting out as a child actor to becoming a businesswoman; Jannat Zubair shares ‘People think I became successful overnight without any struggle’

Jannat Zubair has been in the entertainment industry since childhood, yet many assume her success came easily. She debunks this myth, emphasizing her struggles and dedication. Jannat shared in Sana Khan’s vlog on how balancing school, shoots, and personal growth shaped her journey. "People think I became successful overnight without any struggle, but they have no idea about my hard work," she says, highlighting her determination in both acting and business.

Growing Up in the Limelight

Starting as a child actor at just six years old, Jannat faced many challenges. "I would memorize my lines but forget them in front of the camera. It took me a long time to adjust," she recalls. With numerous people behind the scenes and an unfamiliar environment, acting wasn’t easy. However, her perseverance, along with her father’s unwavering support, helped her push through.

The Role of Her Parents

Jannat’s parents have always been her biggest support system. Even today, they accompany her on travels and shoots. "People ask why I still travel with my parents at 23, but I love having them around. When they’re away, ghar kaat ta hai," she shares. “My parents have always been very protective about us. Now my father doesn’t accompany me everywhere. He told me that he has that faith and trust in me that I will choose wise and take the right decision,” she added.

Overcoming Struggles and Hardships

While many assume her journey was smooth, Jannat reveals the years of hard work she invested. "People think I became famous overnight because of social media. They don’t know my struggle—balancing school, shoots, and constant learning," she says. The challenges she faced as a child actor shaped her into the strong individual she is today.

Proving Her Talent

Jannat has often been underestimated, with some dismissing her achievements. However, she remains unfazed. "Not that I need anybody’s validation, it is important for myself to know that I am happy where I am today. That hardwork is paying me off today. That part of struggle is different but it’s not like I haven’t seen struggles. My family and I have worked hard," she affirms. Her dedication to her craft has helped her evolve from a child actor to a respected name in the industry.

The Transition to Business

Despite her love for acting, Jannat always aspired to be an entrepreneur. She launched two businesses – an abaya clothing line and a jewellery line. "I have always wanted to be an entrepreneur, go to office. I was passionate about acting but I wanted to become a businesswoman. I wanted to walk into office," she shares. Today, she successfully manages both acting and business, proving that passion and ambition can coexist.

Balancing Fame and Personal Life

Growing up in the public eye has been both a privilege and a challenge. Jannat values her privacy but also embraces her responsibility as a public figure. "Fame is rewarding, but staying grounded and keeping my family close is most important to me," she states.

Looking Ahead

Jannat continues to expand her career, taking on new projects in both acting and business. “They think I have no talent and have no idea about struggle. My journey is just beginning.
