From Twitter war with KRK to her fight with Bigg Boss winner Shilpa Shinde: Times when Hina Khan made headlines

Kamaal R Khan, who's a self-proclaimed critic, mocked Hina Khan on his social media account by tweeting, "I got shocked to know that someone has made a film with #HinaKhan! Who will watch it? I am 100% sure that it will be watched by alone Hina Khan only! #BB13 #BiggBoss13." This made the actress upset and she hit back. In her tweet Hina wrote, "Every project I’ve got so far, every appreciator, every fan I have today. I have earned it with my hardwork n talent. And that’s what got me the film and THAT’S WHAT MATTERS. Not PR brokers, so people are smart enough to see through such stunts and acknowledge good work." She also added, "#LetsLiftEachOther. Instead of putting each other down for no reason.. I may not matter to u but I have worked my A** off to reach where I am today." Karanvir Bohra and boyfriend Rocky too reacted strongly against KRK's tweet.

During her Cannes debut last year, when Hina's appearance on the red carpet of the prestigious film festival was questioned by some, the actress garnered support from almost everyone in the television industry. Hina also said around the time how proud she was for her journey from television to films, and happy to have made it on her own.

Hina made headlines when Ekta announced her as the new Komolika in Kasautii Zindagii Kay. The actress became a favourite with the audience in no time. They loved her for playing the role of the iconic vamp and giving it her own edge. However, Hina again got into news when she decided to quit the show for her appearance at Cannes and upcoming projects.

In Bigg Boss 11, Hina and Shilpa were two of the strongest contenders for the trophy. Hence, they were also among the top two finalists in the game. During their stay in the house, Hina and Shilpa were constantly at loggerheads. Hina's comment on Shilpa's poor English didn't go down well with many of the latter's fans.

During her stay in Bigg Boss itself, Hina had revealed she was offered two big budget South Indian movies. She said that she declined the projects because they wanted her to put on weight. She went on to say that their industry prefers 'bulky' actresses, who have 'everything' bulging out in sarees. This received a strong reaction from Hansika Motwani, a popular actress down South. She told TOI, "Whatever this girl has said was extremely demeaning and unwanted."

In one of the episode of Bigg Boss, Hina Khan and Arshi Khan got to talking about Dangal actress Sakshi Tanwar. Through her gestures, Hina hinted that Sakshi has a squint in her eye. This was again something that caught the attention of the viewers.

Another episode of BB saw, Hina Khan discussing about real followers on Instagram. She claimed it was easy to gauge that Sunny Leone had purchased followers as she might have millions of them, but when she posts a video, there are only 10,000 or 20,000 views. She then added that she has no less than 80,000 of them.

When Hina, who rose to popularity with Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai as Akshara, decided to quit the show, she had a fallout with producer, Rajan Shahi. While Rajan Shahi claimed the TRPs increased after Hina left the show, the upset actress told TOI, "I don’t want to get into this blame game. Well, he can say whatever he wishes to. Everybody has the right to express, but being a producer, why was he quiet when we were part of the show for eight long years? During that time, he went on record to praise both of us for our dedication and professionalism. She added, "But now that we are not doing the show, he’s very conveniently contradicting his own statements. We never spoke ill about the producer, the production house or the show, but it’s heartbreaking that the most senior person from the production house stoops down to this level."

Their fallout is the very reason that Hina has stayed away from the team even when they celebrated huge milestones like crossing 3000 episodes. Any bash without Hina made headlines, and caught everyone's attention.
