From working as a crowd artist and making a mark in Bigg Boss to his parents getting affected after Sushant Singh Rajput's demise; Abhishek Kumar opens up about his journey

In the recent podcast with Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa, Abhishek Kumar got candid about his journey into showbiz. The actor shared his views on his past relationship with Isha, his father's concerns and more. Abhishek shared how his parents were deeply affected by Sushant Singh Rajput's demise. When asked about Isha, Abhishek shared, "If you are alone then you are perfect for yourself. But when you are with someone, you need to understand each other. I wouldn't melt down, we cannot be together anymore."

I went home specially, I even told them not to come to Mumbai. But I am sure my parents will come a day before I leave for Romania. And for me prayers are important. Just please pray for me that I win Khatron Ke Khiladi. Recently, I went to Amritsar and so many moms came to meet me. They hugged me, cried and even gave me blessings in the form of good luck money.

Inside the Bigg Boss house, I used to feel that I was being brutally hated outside. But then I came to know when I came back that despite my numerous mistakes, I even have good qualities. So that is when I got the confidence that people must be liking my good side too. It isn't just that I am a bad person.

Haarsh shared, "Farah ma'am is an avid Bigg Boss watcher and she had told us that initially she didn't like you but gradually she started liking your game in the show. I believe, one cannot make a judgement about someone in just an hour-long episode. She then eventually watched you."

When my mother came into the Bigg Boss house, I was completely shattered. I told her how difficult it was but they supported me in the journey. However, my father got quite scared. He still gets anxious even if I am clearing my throat he rushes to Mumbai to check on me. The reason is that he has been very affected after Sushant sir's demise. He feels that I am growing but I shouldn't take any such step.

When I signed Bigg Boss, I remembered my whole journey. How I was a crowd artist and then I came to Mumbai to become an actor. I used to sleep till late so that I skip my breakfast and have the same chana masala and 3 rotis for Rs 50. I would go everywhere walking and give auditions but get rejected. I recalled all of that. All of them are my friends, the ones I started my journey with.

I came to Mumbai in 2018, I am a mechanical engineer and I had lied to my family that I was in Delhi for 6 months, but I came to Mumbai. When I had told them I wanted to be an actor, mere papa ne mujhe bohot peeta tha. Toh main jhoot bolke aagaya tha.
