Sumit Singh, Reeva from the show Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein, said, "I hail from Delhi, and my parents live there; this year I would not be able to celebrate the festival with them, but I'll make sure to celebrate the festivities with my reel family on the sets of the show. My mother comes from a police background, and in our childhood days we knew that she would be getting holidays on Diwali. We all used to be excited about it and have rangoli-making competitions; they are some of my most treasured Diwali memories. Diwali is a festival of togetherness, love, and light. We should spend time with our family and friends, celebrate the festival with zeal, and have a happy and safe Diwali".
