Hina Khan has shared a worrying health update from Mumbai. The ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai,’ actress revealed that the city’s poor air quality is affecting her health. This revelation comes months after she completed treatment for stage 3 breast cancer. She has now returned to work. While she remains active professionally, the pollution has forced her to slow down. Hina urged fans to stay cautious and take care of their health.
Hina Khan reacts to Mumbai’s AQI
Hina Khan took to her Instagram Story to share a screenshot of Mumbai’s Air Quality Index. The AQI reading showed 209. It places the city in the severe category. Mumbai also woke up to misty weather, making the air feel heavier.
Sharing her discomfort, Hina wrote, “What is happening? Can’t ever breathe, yaaa. Makes me reduce my outdoor activities. Constant coughing. It’s so bad in the morning as well.” (sic) She revealed that the pollution has triggered constant coughing and breathing issues. The actress also asked her followers to stay safe amid rising air pollution levels.
Hina Khan opens up about her health and recovery
Hina Khan has often spoken honestly about her health journey. Earlier, while talking to IANS about her cancer treatment, she said, “It was tough, it was very tough; those days were extremely, extremely tough. So every patient is given a gap of around a week between the first and the second chemotherapy; for some it is even three weeks, depending on the diagnosis.”
She added, “So in my case, I used to take chemotherapy every three weeks. So, my first week used to be extremely hard, so painful, I used to get a lot of pain in my nerves, but the rest of the two weeks were fab. During that time, I have travelled, I have done everything.”
