ETimes TV was the FIRST to tell you that contrary to the buzz, Hiten Tejwani was entering 'Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2' as Lakhan and not as a replacement to Nakuul Mehta who played Ram in Season 1. This was sometime in December. Now, Season 2 of 'BALH 2' is coming to an end. The cast and crew have wrapped it up in all respects. Disha Parmar and Nakuul Mehta are on their way to return in Season 3.
Last evening, we got in touch with Hiten for a chat. Here are the excerpts:
So, you have stopped shooting for 'Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2'Yes.
When were you all told that it is coming to an end?We were given a month before it winded up. We were told that if we had any other assignment in mind, we should go and take it up, as long as it started by May 11/12.
You came in with a lot of fanfare as Lakhan...Yes, I did. And I am very thankful to Ekta for giving me such a meaty part. She has always given me good work. I love working with Balaji Telefilms. I had scenes with everybody and became friends with many of the co-actors of the show.
How did you feel when you were told that it is coming to an end? Of course, I felt bad. Nobody liked the fact that it was ending. Wish it had gone on longer.
Did you'll ask anybody why it was ending? No, we did not. These things are always just between the producer and the channel.
So who all have been retained from Season 2 for Season 3?Absolutely no idea.
What's next in your kitty?I have done a web series but I am not supposed to reveal anything about it yet. We are into its post-production. I am looking for more web shows.
And what about TV?Why not? If I get something nice on TV, I shall not hesitate to do it. I have always considered TV to have given me a lot. And I shall never look down upon it.
What's happening to your film 'NRI Wives'?It has been postponed by 2 weeks.
Quite a bold subject...Yes, it's a bold subject. It has 4 stories. My story is with
Bhagyashree. Frankly, I made very sure that it doesn't have any bedroom scenes or a kissing scene. I was told that it will be shot in the US and the content would be bold. So, I made sure of my reservations before signing on the dotted line; I read the script in detail and the maker assured me that they were not out to make any cheap stuff.
