I miss celebrating my birthdays in Army cantonments, says Aman Verma
For
Talking about his big day, Aman says, “Since the time I started working, I do not recall any birthday, new year or festive time where I have taken leave. In fact, these days are auspicious in their own special ways. Hence, I like to utilise the positive energy and engage in what I love doing the most – acting. This year I will be shooting for my on-going show Mauka-E-Vardaat – Operation Vijay on my birthday. And like every other day I will follow the shift timings assigned by the team. To me the real gift is seeing people relate to my onscreen character and the biggest celebration is when they start enjoying it.”
Cake cutting on birthdays is a tradition and Aman admits that he loves doing that. He says, “I enjoy that. To end the day on a sweet note, when I reach back home, we have a small and intimate cake-cutting session every year. As I believe celebration is where family is. No matter how much I try that I don’t get cakes, still, I get 5-6 of them. My favourite flavours are red velvet, black forest and pineapple cake.”
Aman comes from an Army background and he has vivid memories of celebrating his birthday with Army officials. “Like every kid I too used to look forward to my birthdays. People would come with gifts and I couldn’t wait for them to leave. I still miss those days so much. But anyway I am not a party animal so I now like to have low-key birthday celebration,” shares Aman.
