On August 25, the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami met Pawandeep at his residence in
Dehradun
and honoured him with the position. He shared a set of pictures with the singer and announced about the same in a Tweet.
CM Dhami’s social media post read, “संगीत की दुनिया में "देवभूमि" का मान बढ़ाने वाले @RajanPawandeep को हमारी सरकार ने कला, पर्यटन और संस्कृति में उत्तराखण्ड का ब्रांड एम्बेसडर बनाने का निर्णय लिया है। पवनदीप राजन ने सामान्य स्थितियों से उठकर अपनी प्रतिभा से देश-दुनिया में प्रदेश का नाम रोशन किया है। (Despite his humble background, Pawandeep has made a mark in the world of music with his talent. He has made Uttarakhand famous across the country and abroad.)”
Dancer and former Dance Deewane 3 host, Raghav Juyal, who also belongs to the Land Of Gods congratulated Pawandeep on being honoured by the CM. He shared a collage of his pictures from CM Dhami’s post and wrote, “Congratulations @pawandeeprajan Uttrakhand’s CM Pushkar Singh announces the name of the Indian Idol 12 Winner Pawandeep Rajan as the state’s Art, Tourism and Culture brand Ambassador. Pawan met the CM at Chief Minister residence today”
Pawandeep Rajan was announced as the winner of Indian Idol 12 on August 15. He took home price money of 25 lakhs, a car, and the trophy.
